第22節(jié)在這個里也有煞尾的性質(zhì)：它是第五章里那個漫長雨夜的收梢，也是迄今為止所有已經(jīng)發(fā)生的事的總結(jié)。這個故事其實(shí)到這里也可以結(jié)束：萊昂在大雨里走出去找柯特，結(jié)局未知?！@是我在最初構(gòu)思的時候考慮的結(jié)局。因?yàn)檫@個故事的結(jié)構(gòu)是前半部（一到四章）的敘事，在后半部（第五章）通過主角的思索重新詮釋了一遍意義，所以在第五章結(jié)束時故事就已經(jīng)是完整的了。

但在寫下這個故事的過程中，我發(fā)現(xiàn)我還是喜歡（或需要）一個交代完整的完滿結(jié)局?！聦?shí)是，我在寫到大半的時候?qū)嵲谟X得難過，就把結(jié)局先寫好了：依靠這個美好結(jié)局讓自己撐著寫完了那些最令人傷感的部分。

十四行詩第90首

第五章的標(biāo)題是致敬十四行詩第90首中的

“風(fēng)暴的夜繼以陰雨的晨”一句，如同第六章的標(biāo)題致敬十四行詩第18首“我可否將你比作一個夏日”。

在第24節(jié)里提到的兩句“一切苦痛都算不得是苦痛，同失去你這件事相比”亦出自十四行詩第90首。
